Seconds can be firsts...

... it's all about your outlook. While I have several pieces that are firsts (that I love!) I love my seconds equally well and maybe even more. Why? Because each piece was made by a real person, not a machine. Each piece is a piece of art made from glass. Each piece is entirely functional. Any barely discernible flaw in the glass reminds me that a real person worked on this piece. Most people haven't a clue which pieces might be seconds when they see my table dressed in Simon Pearce finery - even I'm not sure sometimes because to me, there's no difference. Every piece is a piece of art.
