Very heavy duty, these aren't going to move around on my desk and they seem to be high quality stands. I wanted around 10" of rise for my Samson M30 speakers at my computer desk, but these with the tilt gets close enough without being so tall and it also regains me a little deak space beneath the speakers, which is useful. Recommended
