Our 5.5-pound Siamese mix likes quiet, covered places, so I put the Gray / XS Snuggle Haven in a bedroom corner and left the entrance open for her to explore. She started by sitting just inside and then began curling up farther back when the room was calm. The soft gray outer fabric and cream lining feel cozy, and the covered top gives her the little hideaway she prefers.
The XS size suits her compact curl, though there is not much room for a longer cat to stretch out. The cover is removable and machine-washable, and I use a soft vacuum around the entrance because her light fur shows on the gray fabric. For a cat who likes caves and boxes, this has become a genuinely used resting spot and earns five stars from us.

Our 5.5-pound Brussels Griffon mix loves burrowing under blankets in the evening, so I put the gray XS cave bed in the mudroom alcove with the entrance facing the room. She sniffed it for a few nights before going in on her own, but now she settles inside after dinner with only her back showing. The long gray plush feels soft, and the cream lining gives her a cozy place to tuck her nose or rest her chin. The XS fits her curled-up body, although the entrance feels snug when she tries to turn around quickly. I shake out loose fur and spot clean the doorway, and the removable cover can go in the wash. I keep an open mat nearby too, since some pets may prefer a bed they can see out of more easily.

She climbed into it the same night and has been curling up inside it for naps ever since. I like that the covered shape makes her feel tucked in, especially when the apartment is chilly or noisy. The padding is soft and it has held its shape better than the cheaper donut beds I have picked up before. My only small complaint is that I do wish the fabric picked up a little less fur, but overall this has been a very solid bed for a tiny anxious dog
