The details and build quality of this fuel cap are as good or better than original! No reason not to buy one. I would like to offer a tip. On my tank, there is a little too much paint in the groove where the retaining ring fits. Using a piece of wire the size of the retaining ring with a piece of 200-400 grit sand paper folded around it, gently and carefully remove any excess paint. In my case it was in the flat section on the front of the filler neck. Get that cleaned up and voila! Absolutely recommend!
