The instructions said to pull tab at light so you activate the solar panel. I could not find a tab to pull so I installed them on my deck railing. When they did not light my husband and I took them off the railing and pulled the lamp off the light. There was a plastic plug but to me it looked like it helped hold the lamp shade on. When he took one of the shades off that part fell out so that is when we knew that is what you had to do. The instructions are not correct for the lights.

I thought my purchase would be bigger than they were. Pictures are very deceiving. I hope they shine brighter than they look. Thank you

As much as I like the solar lights, I was disappointed with the color you had. You only had black not white. Hopefully you will have white again.
