If you want your child to become independent and self-confident, be sure to involve them in household chores. Let them help as much as they can. And believe me, children have plenty of energy! Ask them to help set the table or unload clean laundry from the washing machine. And helping dad with repairs, as Jakob did, is an excellent idea.
