Great Multi Purpose Sling

I purchased the Metro Sling Max in Black X-Pac for my trip to Vancouver and then onto an Alaskan cruise. My initial goal was to use this as a personal item within my personal item on flights. We usually travel on American Airlines narrow bodies which does not have seat back entertainment so I wanted bag that could handle an iPad mini and a set of Bose full-size over ear noise cancelling headphones and the Metro Sling Max carries those items with no issue. As a bonus, in AA’s business class cabin, there is a storage bin in the inner armrest which was able to accommodate the Metro Sling Max and a water bottle with no issues. In addition to the iPad and headphones in the main compartment, I was able to add in a pen, a retractable wire puller (used to hook my personal item from under the seat in front of me), and a Victorinox Swiss Card nail care (TSA friendly). In the front pocket, I had a small flashlight attached to the key lanyard and a charging block in the main section and a selection of USB cables in the netted compartment. The Metro Sling Max is the perfect onboard entertainment bag that still fits inside your personal under-seat item. When traveling around Vancouver, I swapped out my travel gear for tech/photography gear in sling mode and once again it was up to the task. I was able to carry my GoPro and OM Systems TG-7 camera with multiple accessories/batteries with room to spare. Aboard the ship, the Metro Sling Max was easily able to carry a set of 10x50 binoculars with room to spare. While different than your traditional sling bag, the Metro Sling Max is highly versatile as either a sling or travel pouch. I have yet to be disappointed by it no matter what I threw at it or how I used it. Worth every penny I spent for it.

Needless to say that Alpaka stuff is always solid and reliable! This masterpiece is exactly what I needed and I can strongly recommend it if you need a mens urban daypack 🙂

Great form factor, would like a revision in some spots

Overall a great size and comfortable carry - yes the front pocket could do with some more organisation and the main card compartment is a little odd - with a very tight pen pocket on the far right. I'd have love to see a back slip pocket too, but the accordion opening is very well implemented to allow for a wide opening in the main space.
