Flyway Deputy - Mallard Drake Motion Duck Decoy

The mallard drake motion decoy worked great. I used it in a small 3 decoy spread. The other 2 decoys were swimmers. I was jump shooting along the creek by a beaver dam. I had several Wood duck flights fly over, turn and attempt to land in the hole where the decoys were set. I got 2 on the first flight of 4. I let the second flight of 3 turn, approach and land. I did the same on the third flight of 3 and shot one. I waited for a group of 5 mallards and got 2. It was successful morning. This was the first time I used the mallard drake in my spread; it enhanced the spread. The remote was perfect and easy to use. I did the same spread setup the following weekend with 2 other hunters and were successful again. The mallard looks real; the motion adds movement to the water on a calm day. Keep up the good work.

Remote needs work

The idea behind the decoy is excellent. I shot quite a few mallards with this decoy in my spread once I received it in November. The rechargeable battery that I finally received the last week of the season will be a welcome addition. What doesn't work is my remote. If I am not within 10 feet of the decoy it will not turn it on or off. Disappointing to say the least.

Love the water motion these give. Work through the entire hunt. Only wished they had a switch rather than the remote. Would be simpler and don’t see much of a reason to turn them off during a hunt. Remote has limited range anyway in my opinion.
