The fan housing wouldn't allow me to plug it straight in. It seemed flexible enough on the male end to allow for a bit of a bend. the wires held and I was able to install it. I would recommend a little more slack at the ends of the circuit board.

Claude ai recommended this 25$ purchase as a good way to protect the replacement motor that was purchased in tandem. This review only confirms that the part works for now and there is no reason to give it a bad review. Hopefully I won’t have to come back here and take out 4 stars because the part failed within a year. If this does help prolong the life of the motor, then I am happy. Motor works flawlessly and installation was easy. I appreciate that United sells surge protectors since I live in Florida, the lightning capital of the world. This saved me $2,300 from having a local repair shop do the work, an allowed me ot do a better job than they would have. Written and video instructions were clear. One suggestion for United, it would be nice to show how to get a rusted fan that's stuck on the old shaft off. I did find it on YouTube, but be good to include it on United's channel.
