Large watering spike
Great product and keeps my container trees hydrated 24/7. Suggest the large spikes for a wine bottle 😊

Great size and easy to plant!
I tried one of these when i went on holiday for a week... the plant was still alive on my return and over half the bottle was still full. Easy to plant and refill ... need to get more!

Mixed results - wine bottles don’t fit smaller size
I purchased some of the large watering spikes and they worked well at the allotment. I use them for courgette plants and they can last several days. They work well with wine bottles. Until we had drunk our way through enough wine bottles, I used some plastic bottles that I had, but these tended to blow away when empty, whereas the wine bottles do not. I wanted to buy some more but they were out of stock so I purchased some smaller ones. Big mistake, as the neck is narrow, and wine bottles do not fit (neck too wide to fit spike) and I am trying smaller long necked bottles (olive oil, balsamic vinegar etc) but have not found any that really fit, and the capacity is too small to be useful. The smaller size are really only useful for small houseplants if you can source some smaller bottles where the neck has a small diameter. As the product description specifically mentions wine bottles, I think Chimney Sheep should make it clear that only the larger spikes can take them.
