The acrylic is sturdy and covers the entire surface; however, there is a gap between the base and the acrylic cover, which makes it a bit difficult to transport. I gave it as a Christmas gift, and it was complicated to wrap and keep the piece and the acrylic cover together. However, for display at home, it is perfect.
