I've temporarily mounted this using scrap wood so far and find this bracket be extremely high quality all around. Sturdy, well-made, quiet while its in storage mode!

These brackets are fantastic: heavy duty, solid operation, and easy to install. They will be a regular part of my projects. My favorite feature is the magnetic hold downs that prevent the brackets/top from rattling while driving down the road in the stowed position - just what I've been looking for.
