THE PERFECT PROFESSIONAL YOKE CAPO

When professional musicians work, they are loyal to their instrument and trusted accessories, and can’t afford anything less. Moreover, the price for these tools is negligible compared to the value and high tolerances demanded for a performance in front of a paying audience. The PAIGEPRO 6-String Guitar Capo in Nickel is made for that kind work right out of the box. First a new innovative design: a hard material much like the nut on the instrument contacts the strings and delivers a ringing sound at any fret position (I don’t use it above the 5th fret) as if the capo were not in use. Second: The double ground set screw is knurled to perfection WITHIN THE YOKE ensuring a fast setting that will not be bumped or jarred during performance. Third: The nickel finish and elegant design of the top bar that the audience sees, matches most guitar frets in color and in appearance. In other words, you are using a capo almost invisible to the audience. The overall footprint or size of the PAIGEPRO is similar to other capos, but smaller compared to other yoke-styles and I really like that. I have used a Schub 12-String capo ever since they were introduced, and the PAIGEPRO is the first capo in all those years to gain my trust. In the Recording Studio the PAIGEPRO capo will be the only capo I will ever use. Again, you can hear the difference between the hard material against the strings as opposed to the rubber-like material other capos use. On stage, if you are a long-time clamp-capo user you’ll notice that the PAIGEPRO requires some practice to get up to speed. Depending on your technique the PAIGEPRO usually requires two hands to set it, and I use two hands to move it. The makers of the PAIGEPRO like to remind you that the capo can be stored above the nut when not in use. Personally I don’t do that, but if your guitar neck is the right size, it seems to work great. The PAIGEPRO is not at a price point you may be used to. It happens to be the most expensive capo I have ever purchased. If this is beyond your pocketbook Paige makes other great products including their basic model that works just fine if you are a confirmed yoke capo user. I want to mention that Paige has terrific Customer Service. I left a message on a weekend and it was answered by an email on a Sunday. Now I am not saying that is going to happen all the time, but Paige takes care of their own! The PAIGEPRO to me and my work is the best yoke-style capo ever designed. It’s on the road with me now.
