THE BEST OF THE BEST THANK YOU ONEILL I'VE BEEN USING THE HYPERFREAK SERIES SINCE 2018 SOMETHING LIKE IT AND IT'S A GAME CHANGER. YOU EVOLVE YOUR SURFING, GETS INTO AND OUT OF THE SUIT EASILY AND MOST IMPORTANT, STAY WARM. WITH THE FIRST ONE I GOT IMPRESSED BY THE LIGHTNESS OF THE SUITS (HAD TWO HYPERFREAK 3. 2 IN 2018 AND 2020). THEN I RECENTLY BOUGHT ONE WITH SHORT ARMS AND 3. 2MM AND IT IS SIMPLY PERFECT). AHH AND I HAVE ALSO A DEFENDER 4. 3MM, SOME GLOVES ALSO ONEILL AND NOW ANOTHER 4. 3MM, THE HYPERFREAK FIRE. I WILL KEEPING USING ONEILL SUITS ALL THE WAY, I ALSO HAVE A SHORTER ONE, LIKE TO WEAR ON SUMMER AND A JACKET.

Super nice. But, I swapped for same size in the Back Zip. . . as for my size - right between XL and XXL (6'1", 218 lbs, 44 chest, 37 waist, 44 hips, 25 thigh) - while I don't have a barrel chest, I am slightly wider across the chest and shoulders plus have some weight/meat in legs/butt. So, the Chest Zip was a tad tough to get on, but mainly the zipper & seam across the chest pinched/pulled just a bit at the end range of motion (I kiteboard) . Swapped for the Back Zip = perfect for my athletic build as has more flex across the chest and is easier to get on/off overall while still being super flexible and snug at the same time.

Too warm

Yes I said to warm! Which is a good thing I wore it in 61 degree water let’s say the water needs to be colder or it needs to be more of a windy day. This suit is so light and thin for a 4/3 not bulky feels sexy. Doesn’t way 30 lbs when it holds water like a rip curl. I wore a large 3/2 at a demo day and it felt like I had nothing on; so light and stretchy. I’m immediately purchasing a 3/2 of the same model as my 4/3. I am 6’ ft 175lbs but I have a larger than normal neck for my size and the large fits like a glove and doesn’t choke me out. I have to wear a double xl in rip curl or else the neck literally deprives me of oxygen.
