Impressive!

I was used to seeing greenish yellow flame. With this new lens…just wow! At first use, I was hesitant to keep my eyes open when initiating the arc, being that it is just so clear. Once initiated I slowly opened my eyes to find that it in fact darkened and allowed me to see ever so clear the arc and puddle. Response time is phenomenal as well as the ease of use. Definitely recommend. Also, IOC made the shopping experience effortless recommending replacement parts for my helmet of choice.

This helmet is amazing. It is the most clear view I have ever had in a hood. I would purchase more gear from welding supplies. I had a question about the rebate and they replied promptly. Also shipping was so fast!

Wow. Just wow.

I am currently an enthusiast, but did weld on a professional level for years. This is by far the best helmet I have ever had the opportunity to use. I truly wish this had been available to me YEARS ago. This is not a cheap helmet, but I can almost guarantee you will not regret the purchase. The comfort alone is worth it to me. So, I really don't have much to complain about. The worst part for me is the tight "fit" to get at the control settings. And honestly that's not something hat should be a problem with such a well performing piece of equipment. The head gear is adjustable in many ways to give you a personalized fit and definitely improves comfort. The heat resistant coating really is noticeable, even when not welding and standing in the sun or opening the hot oven. The customizable settings and save spots are a little more than I currently need, but I am sure it would come in handy for someone that is switching types more often than I do. But the best part of the whole unit is the viewing experience. Lots of area, and so dang clear! Even peripheral windows have come in handy for me while doing some frame work. Another great feature for most would be the flip up front cover. I do not use it that much, but having a built in grinding shield (or hammering over head) is something that can't go unnoticed. I really think anyone who can afford this helmet should get it. Like I said, life would have been so much better with this available years and years ago. Now go weld some stuff!
