A Happy Surprise

Preface, I will not purchase a watch or other items of relative importance to me with out seeing/handling in person. I was waiting patently to visit Baltic and the opportunity arose while touring France. The item that had my curiosity was the Aquascaphe first gen model. I have a strong preference for watches that have curve to the lugs and have an aversion to very flat wearing watches. While I really liked the appearance of the Aquascaphe it just didn't fit to my liking on my 18cm wrist. The viewed some other items like the HMS as I have a thing for sectors dial but again and knew from online photos this model also would wear too flat for my preference, but the Hermetique caught my eye and kept on returning for a closer look while in the store. I finally asked to try one one and it just plainly fit,with and in person close look a the dial I was taken back on how the aesthetics fit to my liking. All I can say it was a total surprise, and with a surprise I don't like making a purchase until I can really think about if its the right choice, well next day I returned and have been more than happy with the watch and it's keep good time. The ONLY thing that I can think of for a possible improvement on the watch specifically the case, would be a very slight chamfer on the outer lower edge and along the lugs

Exceeded expectations

If you’re on the fence about getting this watch, this is your sign to get it. I eyed it for over a year before I bought and now I absolutely love wearing it.
