From loving to sadly disappointed
The Marin’s were by far the most comfortable boots of my 45 year career in Construction, the Brunt DiStasio’s are less comfortable than my Redwings ever were out of the box! If I stand in one place for 30/40 minutes the top of the arch and heels start to ache and “NO” I do not have them laced to tight I have purposefully retied them to make sure of that. Also the DiStasio’s have a front tilt to them and it takes some adjusting how I walk (place my foot) to have a better balance. If it wasn’t for the fact I used my own water proofing, I would probably return them for a set of Marin’s but for the fact that the top stitching on the top of the toe became frayed after only about 60 days! As you can see I used a polymeric sealant to make my own brunt toe (has held up for over 6 months) but the stitching in the toe creases started to come unraveled and leak which is why I went with the DiStasio’s. I am including a picture of both pairs. Can’t say I will be buying another pair, see I am a Ranger with Texas Parks and Wildlife I am the Lead Utility Plant Operator/ Maintenance IV at Choke Canyon State Park and I deal with the wastewater where is my biggest concern about the water tight feature of your boots. Sadly my other option for boots is 3x the cost of yours. That tells you what DURABILITY/COMFORT/WATER TIGHT mean to me. I will say am am disappointed with the low level of comfort in the DiStasio’s and the lack of durability in the Marin’s, I do a lot of bending and walking 2/3 miles a day most days!

.
Other then they seem to be a half size to full size to big they are great. My feet just slip around a little too much in them.

Exceeds expectations!
My neighbor, a concrete contractor, bought a pair of Brunt Boots and liked them. After smashing two toes on separate occasions, I was in the market for safety tie boots suited for excavators like myself. I shopped around various shoe sales places and thought I would have to spend $400 for a quality boot. I took a chance and bought the Distasio boot with Brunt toe. I was pleasantly surprised by the overall quality: the stitching was very well done. I was also surprised that no break in was required for me: I put them on and went to work. Comfort is exceptional! I trust they will last. I’m very satisfied.
