TONEFLX - MULTI FX PEDALBOARD PLUGIN

A lot of craziness here to explore but also great for subtle vocal effects. Presets coupled with simple and assisted prompt programming make this a hugely enjoyable and addictive sound manipulator. Works smoothly inside Reaper on my iMac M1.

It's trash. Heavily hyped by producers who've worked with major artists, but Sonix's own site has zero reviews, only handpicked testimonials. That should've been the red flag. The pitch is 8 pedals, a generate button and 600+ presets from name producers. In practice none of it delivers. The generate button lets you pick the effect type and still produces something usable almost never, directly contradicting their claim that it's human curated and designed to sound musical. The 600 presets aren't much better. I'm not digging through 600 presets to find the handful that work, that's not a feature, that's the plugin outsourcing quality control to the customer. I'd rather have 300 presets that are consistently good than 600 where most get skipped.

It’s very good, but there are things that could be improved—like the preset search for individual pedals. It takes three steps to get there, and every time you select a preset, the list closes, so you have to go through those three steps all over again.
