Beyond Expectation

I have now purchased my 3rd 2C53T and first DPOS350P. Both of these products have performed beyond my initial expectations. The 2C53T has been great for field work and lasts a fairly long time on a charge. It does take a bit long to recharge it but if done on off hours is not a problem. My latest purchase was to add another one to my bench test equipment. I am still getting used to the DPOS350P but so far it has been great. The DPOS350P is a little easier to use with the touch screen and the spectrum analyzer has come in handy for simple EMC testing. I would highly recommend both of these products!

Internal Resistance Meter - a quality and genuinely useful tool

I have long misunderstood why rechargable cells which appeared to take a charge and hold a reliable voltage could not perform a useful function, dropping down shortly after being put on load. Various YouTube channels talked about "internal Resistance" but it appeared to be an abstract concept which I could not measure. Then I saw the Fnirsi HRM10 in use and suddenly relaised what this was about. I was amazed how reasonably priced the meter was and wasted no time in purchasing one. It is brilliant!! Easy to use and gives reliable results. Immediately I was able to measure my 10 year old NiMh Eneloop cells finding them in perfectly good condition still whilst far newer ones used more heavily on my PC Keyboard and cordless phones were dreadful! The only difficulty I have is in making two separate connections to the cells with the special clips, one for measurements and one to deliver the measuring signal. I think I have solved that with a small piece of card to keep the sides separated until the moment they touch the cell under test. I have used it mainly for 1.5V AA and AAA Eneloops but also for a couple of 6V Lead Acids which presented no problems in testing either. A really good quality product which I ma happy to have purchased.

FNIRSI HS-03 Soldering Iron

As I have come to expect with FNIRSI the soldering iron arrived swiftly and well packed. Its a really useful addition to my workbench and will be getting a lot of use. Complete with a smart and rugged case and accessories I would recommend this to anyone working with PCBs.
