Applying Epoxy Paint and Flakes worked very well for my 900 sq.ft. garage with 2 people roller-brushing. When applying Polyaspartic, not so well. The product was curing much quicker and I wasn’t able to get an even coat spread using a roller. A 2nd coat was applied using a hard plastic squeegee, recommended for epoxy floor, with similar result, material was curing too fast to get a good coating evenly applied.

Great Epoxy Products from Magic Resin

After I had researched many products for my garage floor epoxy application, I decided on Magic Resin's polyaspartic kit. The online kit was easy to order the correct products and amounts needed. The epoxy kit was well packaged and delivered within 7 days. I also researched many youtube videos, articles and testimonials regarding epoxy applications. As this was my first epoxy application, I confirmed that floor preparation and execution preparedness is crucial. My garage is 22ft x 14ft (~310 ft²). I first ground my floor to a 150 grit texture and thoroughly cleaned the floor during the grind and afterwards. I then proceed to apply vapour barrier epoxy, then epoxy coat + flake followed by polyaspartic clear coat. I had brushes, rollers, squeegees and scale ready in my staging area and proceeded in applying products to half of my area per mixture. This was all that I could handle myself within product working time and I had very little time to spare, especially with polyaspartic clear coat. I totally understand all testimonials in being very prepared in product application. I think it is very wise to have a second person performing the product mixing and edge painting while the 2nd person is applying with squeegee and/or roller. I also applied products at 6AM to gain 10C-15C application window. All in all, Magic Resin's products are great and my garage floor turned out fantastic.
