Great sounding right out of the box! I normally would immediately changed heads but this sounds great with the stock head. Build quality is amazing with good attention to detail.

I’m impressed with The Raven.

I received my new Raven and I love it. It is beautifully made and it radiates high quality for a decent price. I have to admit the DCP video on YouTube sold me on this new snare. I also purchased a Remo Emperor batter head to go with it , but it’s unneeded at this time. The stock head sounds great. It will be interesting to try other heads in the future to see how they change this fine drum’s personality. Why do drummers want so many snare drums or just a lot of drums in general? I have 6 snare drums now to go with two sets plus four Congo drums and two bongos. Is it a primordial thing ? The lead guitar player in my group who’s been playing over sixty years as well has thirty guitars so I guess I’m not as crazy as he is !! Thanks DCP for turning me on to The British Drum Company.
