I had never associated the banjo with Irish music until now, after I listened to the incomparable Paraic Mac Donnchadha's playing on his album called Not Before Time...39 Years in the Making Thar Am, along with his wonderful bandmates, too many to mention, but are listed in the liner notes. There are the histories of each tune also in the liner notes, as well as wonderful tributes to people who have influenced him along the way, past and present. I love each tune and each story accompanying them!
