Burner fan replacement
Began replacing the burner fan and found I could not get out of its rubber boot by “wiggling” it from the holder (boot). It was impossible so I cut the hose clamp holding it in place and removed the fan and boot. There were no instructions on how to remove the wiring from the circuit board so I tried pulling them with no luck. Finally theorized the wire ends were held in place by set screws that were inaccessible unless I pulled the circuit board out so I could get a screwdriver on these set screws that were clamping the wires to the circuit board. With the old fan in the rubber boot out I struggled mightily to get the fan out of the boot using screwdrivers, pliers, channel locks, etc. finally it came free. Putting the new fan in the boot was impossible, I am very experienced in the use of tools, hands and intelligence to fix things. Nothing worked. Finally in my efforts I discovered there were TWO boots with one inside the other. I separated the two and finished the job. I used a cable tie in lieu of a hose clamp. It works. I found the instructions were nowhere as good as the instructions you gave me for the igniter replacement although that one required a different size driver than what was called out. Finally, the invoice was for $40 but the actual cost to me was $114. I dread having anymore problems with this toilet.
