The exterior is as shown, but I received something that doesn't seem like sand art at all. All sand moves down along the edge and accumulates in a semicircle. The instructions are not included. It was a product that didn't fit the price at all. When I looked it up, there were many similar products at about a third of the price. I learned a lot. I'll be careful the next time I buy something like this.
