Yamaha Recording Custom Aluminum

Great sounding snare, typical Yamaha quality construction. I bought this snare because of the seamless shell and slightly deeper snare beds, which I prefer. To me, it's a bit more sensitive and controlled, with less overtones, than a Ludwig supra/acro. I switched out the cast hoops for some 2.3mm stick savers, which fattened it up a bit, but either way it's an excellent drum.
