All I can say is that all of the five-star reviews online are legit, and that you should expect to pay at least 50% more than what this snare costs for the sound quality and build quality it delivers. I've owned many snare drums in my tenure as a drummer-- most of which were significantly more expensive than this one--but none of them have put a smile on my face like this one. Every drummer should have one of these in their lineup.
