Wild Black Cod (Sablefish) Fillet Steaks

I ordered 8 fillets for a dinner party and one was inedible after cooking. I won’t be ordering again. These were too expensive for that to happen and they made no gesture of goodwill (eg £10 off next order). When I wrote to company, their response was - Good afternoon, Thank you for reaching out. Unfortunately, this does tend to happen sometimes with black cod, as some fish have a defect called jelly belly that causes the not-so-appetising texture you experienced. This tends to appear in around 20% of black cod. It's perfectly safe to eat; the only difference will be the texture. I hope this helps. Kind regards, Dean

I saw these fillets on the website described as 290g / fillet. When they arrived the fillets were small, 150g fillets. When I complained, Fish Society were not interested in any compensation. Extortionate pricing, not good value for money, and then they want £5 for delivery!!!
