Amazingly nimble creek boat
She's got all the volume you could ask for, but is a foot shorter than most boats and feels considerably lighter, both to carry and paddle. She's quicker off the mark than my previous creeker, and is also much more responsive. She also rolls like a dream; I didn't have any adjustment period there. She seems to slide over a lot of the waves rather than the nose diving down in. She also caught a few and sort of surfed as I jet ferried or did s-turn eddy catching drills. Overall, she felt light and nimble, which is exactly what I was looking to get.
Observations: There's so much room in the thigh hooks that I'm going to have to pad it out, so a wide range of people size will fit. She's also wider through the thigh area. My knees are noticeably higher and further apart than in my half slice, but it's not a problem. Just different. The cockpit is actually smaller than on my Glide, which makes getting the skirt on easier. Conversely, this makes getting in still a bit tricky. You can't just plop in. With the cockpit size and the severe thigh hooks, you need to get in it like it's a playboat...one leg and cheek at a time. But once you're in there, it's roomy in all the right spots. The molded hip pads don't work for me; I'll switch them out to just shims. With the velcro system, it's an easy adjustment.
