Nice shoes, but size not accurate

I really like the shoes and the sustainability approach. However, the shoes turn out to be way smaller than expected. I normaly fit size 39/40, I ordered 40 but they are too small. So I had to return them which is sad :( Unnessecary shipping doesn't work well with sustainability. Especially when offering shoes in an online shop, sizes should be reliable, or at least proposed with a hint that they are rather on the small side.
