BEGINNER HEARTS ~ Online Cookie Decorating Class

Great Class for a Beginner!

I took this class as someone who bakes often but has no experience with decorating sugar cookies or royal icing. I read the entire workbook, watched the tutorials on how to make the dough, the icing and the thin/thick flooding (a few times to familiarize myself). Today was the day and I decided to both bake and decorate. I was going to follow the 3 day timeline but have other stuff happening this week and I've already waited about 2 weeks for all of my supplies to come in. I'm also too impatient to wait 24 hours for the icing to darken so I waited about 4 hours. My color didn't get as vibrant but they still looked good together. The actual decorating tutorial video was very good and easy to understand. I also love all the details in the workbook and I love that I can continue to go back and practice while watching the video or using the images in the workbook. It's definitely SO much harder than it looks but this class makes decorating a little less daunting. I'm going to continue to practice this set before moving on to another class.

A review of my progress with Grace’s help.

I’ve been taking Grace’s classes since last October. I love the way she has her tutorials so that you can stop them at any point and you can watch them as many times as you want to. By the time February came, I felt pretty confident to do more intricate decorating. I’m still at an advanced beginner level but eventually I’ll get even better.

First time cookier

I have never tried decorating cookies before and I must say that I am addicted! Grace makes these classes so easy to follow and she explains everything that she does in depth. The classes are fun and Grace is very creative. I have already purchased 5 other classes and can't wait to see the upcoming classes offered! Thank you Grace for my new hobby!
