Beautiful tools

Got my Xmas present to myself and love them. Tools are high quality as always and I love the slight vacuum “ploof” sound when I swap tools. It tells me that the machining of the tools, collets and handles are perfect.

Beautiful tools

While I have not yet used the pen turning tools, I have examined them and found them to be beautifully made. The cutting edges appear to be extremely sharp. While Carter included a sharpening guide card in the packaging, I verified the sharpening angles on the tools and simply took a label maker and added the sharpening angle to the packaging tube for each gouge to make it easier to keep a consistently sharp angle in the future when sharpening.
