This is a spice paste made from domestically produced red chili peppers. Made with just red chili peppers and salt. It is common to mix it with grated daikon radish to make momiji grated radish, but it can also be used as a condiment for udon noodles, in ponzu sauce for hot pot dishes, or directly in the hot pot.
