Pasela ProTite Folding Urban Tyre

The only tyre readily available in this size. The tyres are nice and light, easy to fit and look the part on my ‘80s steel frame bike. Confident handling and a comfortable ride. The downsides are that they are fairly susceptible to punctures, even when fully inflated and the sidewalls hold brake/rim dirt, so they start to look grubbyquite quickly.

I’ve always been a fan of Panaracer Tyres, but have found them to be just too expensive for my needs. I couldn’t believe it recently when they were down at £20 each for the Protite folding. A good Christmas present for myself.
