Tim managed to expertly balance, on one hand, giving you enough inspiration and freedom to keep the experience of going through a “run” both engaging and unique, while on the other hand supplying the right amount of friction, throwing a wrench into your plans or expectations at the right moments. The artifact you’ll be creating throughout, once you ponder the final result, might feel almost nostalgic, an imperfect snapshot of what had been. Eventually it’ll be the only remnant of your experienxe, with the rest just a fleeting memory. Highly recommend getting the physical book if you can get it. Beware: it’s so unassuming, that your RPG shop employee might have difficulty finding it among all of the flashier releases. It’s the kind of thing that has the potential to make you feel a sense of untethered longing, for something you have never experienced.
