No protective electrical lead end cap?

I surprised that the 5’ Extreme Lead Extension lacked a plastic protective lead cap on one end. I used the 5’ Lead Extension on the end of the battery hardwired O ring Pulse Tech Extreme 2’ fuse protected attaching lead to run clean hidden wire on long nose sports car. I just have little dangle from 5’ Lead Extension so I just pop hood the lead, connect that to the Pulse Tech XC 400. The way it’s installed and hardwired the end of 5’ Extreme Lead wire-connector is unprotected from H2O, road dust & grit. I’ve pulled (snipped) a protective cover off spare Pulse Tech Extreme fused Alligator clips & I’ll MacGyver it on with a production appearance quality finish; I just shouldn’t need to.
