Not what it used to be

Lonely Planet Thailand used to be super useful - containing brief summaries of not only interesting sights, but also a variety of food and lodging options with enough price diversity and contact information to get around on any budget. Now it's mostly glossy photos and text bubbles around the edges with one or two lodging or food options but no contact info. This was once a valuable resource. Now, it appears you are better off cobbling together your own information from the scattershot internet and hoping for the best.
