What is Lonely Planet

My first purchase of guide book was in 1996 Nepal. Besides it's guide, it gave me confidence to travel independently. Now, I get one as a culture.

Bit too light on detail

I can understand they may want to cram half of Europe into one book. But because of this, it lacks details. This was the only recent book for Slovakia, which is why I brought it. I think it may be better to combine Slovakia with Czech, and have more info on Slovakia
