Dunwoody Mirvil Signature Bass Trombone Mouthpiece

Over the years I have tried several very different bass trombone mouthpieces, and I have now ended up with two stainless steal models from the Giddings company. For larger orchestral playing Dunwoody Mirvil Signature and for more solo tasks New York Solo. They both have a fullness and sweetness in the sound that is completely idiomatic for the bass trombone, not too sharp and bright and not too dark and tuba-like. The rims are clearly the most comfortable I have tried. I know that choosing a mouthpiece is a very personal thing, but I can definitely recommend these mouthpieces to everyone. Mogens Andresen
