5'6" 3-Piece Trout Freshwater No Excuses Travel Rod with Protective Case "Splinter"

The 5.3 Rods is a very light and the correct size for my fresh water shore and kayak fishing. I purchased 2 , lol. I just moved to Florida and i have not used them yet but looking forward to use them in couple of weeks. I want to thanks Matt for answering my questions 5 minutes after i wrote to him regarding this new rod. Your videos are an inspiration and your equipment is/are of a high quality as well. I have all of the sizes except the 7’. Need more of them.

Overall, I like the fishing rod. The rod is light and it’s easy to use. The hook holder loop at the bottom of the rod is a nice touch to hold your lures when you’re about to fish. I also like how the rod has a firm grip. It’s convenient and easy to store since it comes in its tube. I like how the fishing rod is easy to assemble/disassemble. It feels secure, to where it won’t come apart, when casting. (I hope in the future there will be options for different color rods). When I have the opportunity to go fishing I trust this rod will be reliable and be useful when catching big trout or other fish 😎.

Casting distance is truly impressive, easily casts farther than my St. Croix. The sensitivity is good but not great. All in all it's a great travel rod and became my preferred trout rod after it's first morning on the water.
