I'm an average size guy, and can order size 11 shoes without requesting a wide model. I ordered men's size 11 of these boots and I can't even put my foot in it. The shoe itself seems to be the right size. I managed to wrestle one of my feet into it. The problem is the opening. It was almost impossible for me to put this shoe on. I had to really really work hard to gradually squeeze my foot into it. Once it was on it felt relatively good but very tight around the ankle. I think the shoe is designed for a man's size 11 ft and a woman size 11 shin. I ordered some shoe stretchers to try to stretch them out to see if they're actually wearable. I think they'll work but only time will tell.
