Very delicious corn that puts store bought to shame. I wasn’t expecting it to be that delicious, as this is my first time growing corn, but even with some of my error I got plenty of corn to store. I plan on growing some for a Fall run and expect the ears to be a bit bigger and get better pollination. My corn sprouted on May 1st and I harvested this ear on day 72. It could’ve used a bit more time but I wanted to see what it was looking like since most of the silks are almost fully dried up. It looks like most will be harvested on day 75 and the rest closer to 80 or more.

We need rain!
I'd like to give a great review but I can't say much more than as of today 6/3/26, the plant is 4-5 inches out of the ground and germination was very good. I planted 6000 seeds from HOSS, and have other varieties as well. The issue here in central Illinois is that we are in near drought conditions at the moment but rain is forecasted for this weekend. We had an unusual spring season so far with a very cold April and very warm to hot May, and of course no precipitation. So I waited for ground Temps to rise before I stuck this seed in the ground and so far, so good. I'll l let you know how the season progresses later this summer but there is one thing I want to point out about my 1st purchase with HOSS. During shipping, there were a couple problems which caused my seed to be redirected back to the seller. After a couple emails and clarification, the people in the office were above board on making sure I received my product. That's what impressed me the most so far, so your corn better be good enough to top that. I'll definitely keep that in mind when I am making plans for next year. I get emails now most daily from HOSS and they are really good and informative. I appreciate that. We'll talk again this summer.

Quick germination and after 80 days it is nearly ready for harvest. Just as package suggested.
