When I read Morrigan's Prayer, I felt an immediate sense of peace and connection. It speaks to me in a way that is both powerful and deeply comforting. I've always been drawn to the Morrigan not only as a fierce warrior goddess, but also as a compassionate guide through life's hardest transitions, and this prayer beautifully captures both aspects of her. The imagery is vivid without being overwhelming. I especially love how it begins with creating sacred space and becoming "a worthy channel," then moves through the battlefield into an image of the Morrigan gently carrying souls home. The lines about being held to her breast and finally resting in peace are incredibly moving to me. They make me feel protected, accepted, and as though all the struggles I've carried can finally be laid down. The rhythm of the prayer flows almost like a chant or a lullaby. By the time I reach the repeated closing lines, "Peacefully resting, Morrigan's blessing," I feel a genuine sense of calm settle over me. It's one of those rare prayers that I don't just read—I experience it. This has quickly become one of my favorite devotional prayers. It reflects the Morrigan in a way that resonates deeply with my own spiritual path: fierce when strength is needed, yet endlessly compassionate when it's time to heal, to rest, and to return home. Every time I read it, I come away feeling comforted, grounded, and blessed.
