Great literature and one small change

Although we haven’t gotten into the bulk of this curriculum yet I can tell based on the literature included it will be great! We especially love the large map and all the possibilities with that. My one critique would be with the beginning lessons. I felt that it would make sense for my kindergarteners to start with an idea of “where in the world am I?” rather than diving right in to different states without having a “home base” to compare to. Before we begin the curriculum I have decided to include a Quick Look on where we live (street, city, state, country, continent, planet) as a fun beginning geography project so they will hopefully be able to use that as a reference to compare where we live with other places.

Great for teaching multiple kids at home!

I'm really excited to have found this beautiful curriculum for my 2nd, 1st and pre-k children! I love that it's something we can do all together. It's evident that the books selected were thoughtfully chosen and most of them we haven't read yet! My only critique is that I felt the description of materials was slightly unclear in terms of receiving a hard copy of the guide. I ordered the History and Character studies and assumed that I needed to print both myself, which can be pricy if you want to print in color. The character study did not come with a hard copy of the lessons, but the history did.
