DYI Murphy bed

The hardware worked great. I’m happy with the bed, and it was a fun project. Had the lumber yard rip the plywood to width so it was easier to transport and saved my little table saw. After making the first one, additional beds would much simpler to build.

Great addition to your Murphy Bed!

This is a solid device to add a writing desk to your bed. I like how it latches in the down position so it's not dragging on the floor when the bed is down. Take special care when mounting - if everything is not exactly square, the device will catch and not close down. (Perhaps changing the mounting holes to slots to make this easier to adjust while mounting. )
