These bags seem nice and they're made of very heavy fabric. I don't see any reason why water would be able to get in when they're properly rolled up. Once you have your clips set up correctly for your bike's rack, they are incredibly easy to mount and dismount.
I have a MIK HD rack on my ebike, so I found that I needed to buy the larger 18mm clips, which we're not cheap for being simple plastic clips and nylon straps. I also ordered the E124 security cable thing so that the bags aren't as easy to take if I have to leave them on my bike for a minute. Again, not cheap for a short length of light gauge aircraft cable. The main thing that has been frustrating is the feeling of being nickel and dimed for pretty basic features that really should just come with the bags to begin with. I also don't particularly like the way the straps sit when everything is closed up and attached to the bike. There's some really basic design that could resolve this, and at this price point, it seems ridiculous that there are any issues like this at all.
All considered, instead of being excited to use my bags, this purchase has left me with a bit of a bad taste in my mouth. I really hope that feeling fades and I'm able to get many years of use out of my stupidly expensive bags. Time will tell.
