beautiful shirt, size not true

I bought this shirt for my husband, David Shepard, birthday. I thought it would be fun to have a shirt with the same name. He wears a men's size large and this shirt, while beautiful, was definitely NOT a large. I had already discarded all the return packaging before I wrapped it up so now cannot return it.
