Recovering Martha T-Shirt

As the CEO of Recovery Alive, a Christ-centered 12-Step recovery ministry with 11 recovery homes and more than 100 recovery ministries around the world, recovery is a word that means a lot to me. I've been in recovery from substance use for almost 13 years, but one thing I've learned is that I'm still constantly in recovery from something. Pride. Control. Fear. Busyness. The need to fix everything and everyone. So when I saw the Recovering Martha shirt, I laughed because it fits me perfectly. Martha gets a bad reputation sometimes, but if I'm honest, I've spent a lot of my life trying to do all the things, carry all the things, and make all the things happen. Jesus is still teaching me that His presence matters more than my performance. And by the way, I absolutely love the quality of your shirts. "All My Heroes Went to Prison" is one of my favorites too. Thanks for the heart, truth, and encouragement you pour into everything you create. This morning our team got a good laugh because they kept pointing at my Recovering Martha shirt while our president and founder, John Eklund, was gently hiding behind me. But the truth is, he's one of the people who has believed in my recovery journey from the beginning, and I'm grateful for that. Keep doing what you're doing.
