Love the jacket, just the right weight for earley morning rides. It folds nicely in my jersey pocket , and comes through the washer looking like i just took it out of the package

Initial impressions
The Voler wind jacket is ultralight despite having a robust YKK zipper and three expandable rear pockets. The front-facing panels may be treated with DWR, but it won't replace a rain jacket because even a light rain quickly soaks through the thin polyester material. The underarms and back are stretchy and have micro perforations to dump heat, but the jacket will quickly get stuffy if there's no wind. All in all, it's a very well-made jacket that can be stuffed into a jersey pocket for use on downhill descents or to cut the chill in windy conditions. But it won't do well in rain and it's too thin to ward off the cold. It could serve as a long sleeve jersey in its own right with a thin base layer underneath in cooler weather, but only if you can get the sizing right. I find the sizing to be looser than advertised. In the Voler race fit jersey, I need to size up. But if you want this jacket to be truly "race fit," you might need to size down.
