The collar is flat metal, going by the pictures displayed I expected it to be rounded metal. Its very light, and one of the claps has come quite loose so I have had to tighten it with pliers. I’m not sure of the longevity of this item personally. However, I understand that these pieces are handmade and require effort, so I think the price is relatively reasonable.
