I have an extensive permitting process here in MD, as I am on a Historic Property and have additional requirements. Purchasing this kit was not only economical for all the reasons you'd expect (saved time designing and saved scrap with construction) - it also saved me going through the structural part of the permitting process. I received the design drawings from Little Cottage Co. and sent them off to the County. Easy Peasy. I got the 16x22 shed - and it is plenty big for my mini-skid and mower, lumber drying area and lots of inside space to work. As other reviewers have noted, it was a huge help to have a nailgun and scaffolding rented. It took us about two full weekends with some extra labor (so, from one to 5 people working both weekends) to assemble the building and apply the underlayment. Then it was weathered in. Later, I added a porch and applied metal roofing. That was fun and educational. This has been a great DIY project, start-to-finish. I can;t recommend the company and the kit(s) highly enough. Everything was great, from the professional delivery of the two large pallets all through the end of construction. The directions were great, and I got them sent to me ahead of time, to help me plan for when to ask for help and how many people. Every time I contacted the company they were fast, thorough,and professional with their advice, their expertise, and recommendations. You won't regret buying your own kit from Little Cottage Co. :-)
